Introduction
In this post , we are talk about list of Mobile phone generation that what is 0G,1G,2G,3G,4G,5G.
List of Mobile Phone Generation
Zero generation(0G):
The first generation is 0G, we say that Pre-Cellular or zero generation.zero generation is use for basic telephone or wire telephone.Pre-cellular systems included the Push to Talk (PTT or manual), Mobile Telephone Service (MTS), Improved Mobile Telephone Service (IMTS), and Advanced Mobile Telephone System (AMTS) systems.

First generation (1G):
The first generation or 1G is of wireless telephone technology (mobile telecommunicati-
ons).1G is transfer voice only via radio signal and introduced in 1970 and the early to mid-1980s.
1G network are analog.1G is replace by 2G on digital signal.The main difference between the two mobile cellular systems (1G and 2G), is that the radio signals used by 1G networks are analog, while 2G networks are digital.
Second Generation(2G):
2G (or 2-G) is short for second-generation cellular technology. 2G cellular networks were commercially launched on the GSM standard in Finland by Radiolinja (now part of Elisa Oyj) in 1991.
2G technologies enabled the various networks to provide the services such as text messages, picture messages, and MMS (multimedia messages). All text messages sent over 2G are digitally encrypted, allowing the transfer of data in such a way that only the intended receiver can receive and read it.

2.5G (GPRS) :
2.5G ("second and a half generation") .2G offers a theoretical maximum transfer speed of 50 kbit/s (40 kbit/s in practice).Its provide the facility of internet.
2.75G (EDGE):
GPRS networks evolved to EDGE networks with the introduction of 8PSK encoding. While the symbol rate remained the same at 270.833 samples per second, each symbol carried three bits instead of one.It provide the facility of internet with speed 144Kpbs to 2MBbs.
Third Generation(3G):
3G, short for third generation, is the third generation of wireless mobile telecommunications technology. It is the upgrade for 2G and 2.5G GPRS networks, for faster internet speed. 3G provide the facility of video call first time .it provide fastest internet.3.5G or HSPA(speed 14.4 Mbit/s down and 5.76 Mbit/s up).3.7G or HSPA+(speed 168 Mbit/s in the downlink and 22 Mbit/s ).
3.9G or LTE is the upgrade path for carriers with both GSM/UMTS networks and CDMA2000 networks.These are introduced in merket as 4G.

Fourth Generation:

4.5G
4.5G provides better performance than 4G systems, as a process step towards deployment of full 5G capability.The technology includes:
LTE Advanced Pro.
MIMO.
LTE Advanced Pro.
MIMO.
5th generation:
5G is a generation currently under development. It denotes the next major phase of mobile telecommunications standards beyond the current 4G/IMT-Advanced standards.
NGMN Alliance or Next Generation Mobile Networks Alliance define 5G network requirements as:
- Data rates of several tens of Mb/s should be supported for tens of thousands of users.
- 1 Gbit/s to be offered, simultaneously to tens of workers on the same office floor.
- Several hundreds of thousands of simultaneous connections to be supported for massive sensor deployments.
- Spectral efficiency should be significantly enhanced compared to 4G.
- Coverage should be improved.
- Signalling efficiency enhanced.
- Latency should be significantly reduced compared to LTE.
The journey of zero generation to five generation is very long time.
